HLTV.org will be hosting a Xperia PLAY prelude tournament exclusively for the teams attending the Danish event.

It's with great pleasure we announce our prelude tournament for Xperia PLAY. It is more than four years since we did our last tournament, a prelude for shgOpen 2007, which H2k Gaming went on to win.

The prelude tournament contains sixteen teams, which have all been selected upon their participation at Copenhagen Games and the €20,000 Xperia PLAY tournament. The winning team will get their entrance fee covered, which is €350 for teams paying before April 1, and €385 for teams paying after April 1.

We have decided to spread out the matches for you viewing pleasure, meaning the tournament will last a total of five days. The tournament will take place in a single-elimination bracket, playing best-of-three maps and we will be using EAC to prevent any dirty play.

The first round of the bracket will take place Wednesday and Thursday this week. The participants, matchups, as well as the match times are listed below.
